Death Metal Angola

"Death Metal Angola is a beautiful film, one that is bound to become a cult classic." Huffington Post
Sonia Ferreira and Wilker Flores live and breathe hardcore rock and roll. They run the Okutiuka orphanage in the war-ravaged city of Huambo, Angola and dream of mounting the first-ever national rock concert. Raucous and righteous, DEATH METAL ANGOLA follows their story, giving audiences a look at a rock show off the grid that is fulfilling, haunting, and real.
Premiered at Rotterdam, Dubai, BAFICI, Sydney among others
Experience
Director's Reel
Experience producing and directing both scripted and unscripted work in the US, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Works well under pressure and in challenging environments. Is as comfortable hobnobbing with the rich and famous at a Viennese ball as with living and working among orphans in post war Angola. Works effectively as part of a team, as a leader, or a one man band. Knows how to get projects started and how to bring them to completion. He speaks English, German, Spanish, and Portuguese and is based in New York City.
